Book Review - Atomic Habits by James Clear

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Read below for my five takeaways from this book.

💫 Why small habits make a big difference - Often the value of making small improvements on a daily basis is underestimated and the importance of one defining moment overestimated. The choice between 1% better or 1% worse determines the difference between who you are and who you could be. 🔁

💫 An atomic habit - Atomic habits refer to tiny change and marginal gain. Atomic habits are the building blocks of remarkable results. Each habit is a fundamental unit that contributes to the overall improvements. 🧱

💫 Habit stacking - Use habit stacking technique to implement intention. Each action becomes a que to trigger the next behaviour. Once you create the basic structure, you can begin to create larger stacks by chaining small habits together.⛓️‍💥

💫 Reframe your habits to highlight their benefits rather than than their drawbacks. It is a way to reprogram your mind and make the habit more attractive and helps change the feeling associated with the habit. 🖼️

💫 Understand the downside of creating habits. Sometimes habits lock us into patterns of thinking and acting even when world is constantly changing around us. So it is best to periodically check if the habits are still serving us. ⤵️
